Copy & Follow are different

Nowadays, some pinoys are criticizing some artists for singing an upbeat song that has lots of autotunes and for doing music videos that has the kpop feel in it. some pinoy says that they have no originality, theyre copycats, and they are nothing but a bunch of crap. For me they arent copying, theyre just simply following the latest trends in music, remember time runs fast and nobody wants to be left behind and keeps on listening to old songs with different versions, right ? so let's just listen to their song and try to appreciate it :)

em deciding on just posting short entries :D haha. and thats because of my laziness & actually em really busy doing school stuffs :D

  3. Yep.. it's called.. nakikisunod sa uso. Hehe.. Actually, hindi lang naman Pinoy eh.. Lahat naman yata ng tao sa world eh, kapag ano ang uso, yun rin ang ginagaya.. It's human nature rin siguro..

Though, medyo nakaka sad lang kasi parang nagiging synonymous na ng salitang "copycat" ang Pinoy.. Hmm... Yun lang. ehehe.. parang bitin ang comment ko. Wala nakong maisip na isulat eh. Hekhek..

  4. I love your courage in expressing your opinions through blog, and I agree with you as music is an art and a freedom of expression irregardless if music artists are humming to the current tunes, doing a revival or on doing an all original tunes. Life is beautiful as well as music adds spice to our life.

  5. i think so too!! kpop is korean POP, and pop doesn't belong to anybody~ there can be ppop, cpop, american pop, etcetc~

I love filipino artists! they have a nice popish feel, but there's also some pinoy feel to it too! ♥

  8. I really don't understand why Pinoys love to criticize (in a destructive way) Pinoys. Why don't they just appreciate their work instead of insulting, right? Haii~!

  9. so true sis :)
    totally agree with you sis..
I don't know kung anu mga tumatakbo sa mind nila, they have no rights to criticize others lalo na kung wala namn sa lugar. hm

  13. its nice you've stood up for your side sis, five thumbs up! hahaha

But i beg to disagree with it, but for me Pinoys and Koreans are completely different, so I guess its quite inappropriate to imitate them that close. hehhee :)

  16. I do agree with this. But the point is, Filipinos should stop FOLLOWING. I mean, come on. We're way better than being the 'Followers'. Filipino are creative and has wonderful ideas. If only we could do something different, I guess, things would also be different. :D

  17. You have a point sis, but I guess that's people. We can't please everybody=) I find it nice and good to hear the music of our generation today, yet I still heart those old music that are revived now, it just show na maganda ang music nila so our singers do some new rendition from the song para maalala natin, like what Glee is doing .winks

  19. At least philippines has new songs LOL

I rarely here new songs here at BC.. They kept on playing songs that are more than 3 years old :P but at least I hear Michelle Branch, Matchbox20 and the likes XD

Oh yeah thanks for the comment..
Hmm well lets see, back at the Philippines people kept on talking to me in English, thinking Im foreign, and just today some Filipinos were surprised I speak Tagalog cause they thought Im Chinese.. so maybe yes?? haha

  20. Oh, I like this entry of yours. I super agree with this. I am a fan of XLR8, a P-Pop boy group, and numerous of Filipinos say that they're copying K-Pop. I don't think they're copying. For me, they just get ideas from K-Pop, or they're inspired by K-Pop. I just hate these people who judge them. They don't know how to love what they have here in the Philippines. They should be proud instead.
